Baked pots with ham hock

method

  1. Put the oven on to 180°C fan/200°C/gas 6.
  2. Slice a cross-shape in the top of your potato. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place in the oven for 50 minutes.
  3. Once the potato is cooked, put the grill on.
  4. Remove the potato from the oven and care fully, using a tea towel or oven glove to hold the potato, scoop out as much of the potato from the inside as possible, to leave the skin intact. Set the skin aside for now.
  5. Place the scooped-out potato in a bowl and mix with the butter and ham.
  6. Pile everything back in the skins, sprinkle with the cheese, and place under the grill until the cheese melts.
