- Preheat the oven to 200ºC fan oven/220ºC/gas 7. Grease and line a 30 x 20cm traybake tin.
- Mix together the dry ingredients and 2/3 of the mug of cheese.
- Mix together the water and buttermilk. Add to the dry ingredients and gently mix together until a dough is formed.
- Gently form into a loaf shape and place on the baking tray.
- Brush the top with egg and sprinkle over the rest of the grated cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. The loaf should sound hollow when tapped on the base. If not bake for another 5 minutes.

- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 1 mug grated cheddar cheese
- 300ml buttermilk
- 100ml warm water
- beaten egg to brush the loaf
