Easy Chocolate Sauce

Simple Chocolate Sauce

method

This is a really easy chocolate sauce to pour over ice cream or anything that needs it, I our family we would always wait for mum to say, shall I do a quick chocolate sauce and Ice Cream, seemed to happen a lot on Sundays. It really is quick to do and soo much better than the stuff you get in the bottles…plus it is hot! This sauce featured in the Nosh for Students book and has been a real hit with students.

  1. Place the butter, sugar and chocolate in a saucepan. Heat gently, stir well, and allow to simmer for 1 minute.
  2. Add the milk or cream carefully, as it may spit at you!  Simmer for another 1 minute, stirring all the time until smooth and thick.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before serving on top of the ice cream.
